My G4 Mac drama

Last year I got an used G4 Mac from a friend… unfortunately the Mac has a broken power supply and it only runs only for a few minutes and then it turns off itself. A few weeks ago I bought a new power supply on eBay and now found out that I bought the wrong one! Argh… Apparently Apple changed the power connector standard in the G4 main-board from 22-pin to 20-pin and I bought a power supply with a 20-pin connector that seems to be the newer one.

Not sure about the new Intel-Macs but the G4’s are using a totally different power supply standard than PCs… it’s nothing like ATX although there are people who tried to build converter ATX adapters as the Mac power supplies are pretty expensive (more info: http://atxg4.com/).
